Nestled in Creswick, the heart of Victoria’s beautiful Spa Country between the communities of Daylesford and Ballarat, the RACV Goldfields Resort is the perfect venue for your event, a leisurely 90 minute drive from Melbourne CBD and just 90 minutes from Melbourne Airport.  Surrounded by 150 acres of stunning natural beauty, comprised of rolling hills, a championship golf course, native gardens and the Creswick State Forest.

Accessibility

The property is very accessible – friendly with six disabled parking bays at the front of the hotel, close to the entrance. The conference rooms and restaurant are all located on the ground floor, where there are no stairs from the lobby or bar area.

There are 2 central lifts to all accommodation floors and the ground floor.

Once on the ground floor, it is level floor access to all conference rooms, and though it is a step up to the restaurant, a lift is available for anyone in a chair or who has mobility issues and cannot use the stairs.

There is an accessible bathroom on the ground floor between the regular bathrooms and another on the first floor off the lobby.

The conference organisers are pleased to offer delegates a family friendly break out room for parents and children where the plenary sessions will be streamed.

Climate and Weather

Despite having four distinct seasons, Victoria's weather is known for being a bit unpredictable. Summers (December - February) are generally warm and winters (June - August) cold, but just ask a local and they’ll tell you that it’s not uncommon to experience all four seasons in a single day! 

Victoria warms up in summer with mean temperatures between 14 - 25.3°C (57.2 - 77.5°F). These months are dry, with occasional hot spells that can last more than three days. Currency and Foreign Exchange

Australia has a decimal system with 100 cents to the dollar ($AUD). Coins have values of 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents, $1 and $2 dollars. Notes have values of $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100 AUD.

Major city bank branches can exchange foreign currency. Foreign currency exchange bureaus are also available at the airport and in Melbourne's central business district. ATMs (automatic teller machines) are widely available in the city and regional areas.

Tipping is not customary in Australia and is at your discretion.

Car

RACV Goldfields Resort is a leisurely 90-minute drive from Melbourne CBD and just 90 minutes from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport. 

Public Transport

Getting to Creswick via public transport is easy and efficient with bus and train options available. If arriving at Melbourne Tullamarine Airport, take the SkyBus to Southern Cross Station, where you can take a V/Line train to Creswick Station, on the Maryborough line. The Maryborough line services to Maryborough and Ballarat with one daily service to Southern Cross.

Traveller Visas

Unless you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a valid visa is required for entry, with the visa issued in the visitor’s own country and entered in the passport pre-travel date. Once arrived in Australia, a visa is not needed to enter Melbourne from another state.
